Mounted in 'Bluebell' colour mount ready to frame in a standard 12" x 16" frame.

Text below print as follows - 'CONSISTENTLY good scoring in the preliminary matches at Oxford assured F. A. PHILLIPS a trial in the University Eleven of 1892. His record the previous summer at Rossall School had been of itself good enough to lead to the belief that he would acquit himself well in a higher grade of cricket. His first year at Oxford only partially justified these expectations. The following summer brought him even worse luck, and he failed to retain his Blue. It was only a momentary failure, however, and the last two seasons have proved him to be one of the most reliable batsmen at Oxford. his 78 against Cambridge at Lord's, in 1894, was a brilliant display, and this season he has certainly shown no falling off. A thoroughly safe bat, he makes runs all round the wicket and is a brilliant hitter when faily going. His out cricket is also useful for he is a safe field as well as a change bowler.'
