In a day when the hand written letter is something we remember and long for, but seem to never quite find time to write, it's all the more interesting to note the upsurge of popularity of all things related to it. And did you know that, even today in France, the 'valor declare' method of sending a package requires it be wrapped with string and then each string sealed with wax and a seal? We just love the romance of the old monogrammed seals pressed to that rich red wax, don't we. Here's a 19th century American sterling seal. A beautiful large American sterling silver seal, decidedly Art Nouveau in style & period, and not yet monogrammed. After 100 - 120 or so years, it remains as pristine and perfect as the day it was made - an instant heirloom for your own family. Finish it off with a beautiful scrolling monogram fo your own - a stunning little decorative piece!

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is recieved (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built.
