FABULOUS CHRISTIAN DIOR Faux Seal Fur Coat!! NR

Recently acquired from a wealthy family of renown jewellers and advocates from Madrid, Spain, among more treasures I am listing along these days, comes this how to describe it? gorgeous? amazing? striking? It´s difficult to find the appropiate word to define this unique vintage faux seal fur coat by Christian Dior for Somalla. I must confess this coat is one of the most beautiful, elegant and in perfect condition I´ve ever had in my life. And this is too much saying, since I am constantly dealing, handling and watching huge pieces, wether for my collection or to offer my customers. But this coat really took my breath away when I first saw it.

This is an extremely rare, cool, cute and elegant vintage late 1950´s/early 1960´s faux fur coat by our fave designer Christian Dior! A seriously luxurious short hair coat. Very well made: the craftsmanship is unreal, beautiful... it´s very glamorous and in spectacular shape, a truly work of art! and best of all, so versatile you can throw this over your jeans during the day as well over your evening dress for the cold winter nights. A winter coat is not something you are going to buy every year, so you want the to get the best and most stylish one that you can find... you will wear this coat for years and years and won´t never get tired of it!

This faux fur coat has an incredible quality and a style that will never go out of fashion. It´s very chic and modern looking now. The coat is fashioned from short hair faux fur in a rich, deep, shiny, dark brown color. The pelts are sewn together in long strips with invisible rows of black seams between the pelts.  The collar extends into a a folded back edge all the way down the front.

The full lenght raglan sleeves are straight and bellshaped at the cuffs. There are vertical in-seam pockets at the hips and one hidden pocket on the inside at the front opening of the coat.

The coat has no closures but two slides on both sides to slip a belt through them. The curious thing about this closure method is that the belt goes under the coat, stretching your waist from the inside, and it´s visible from the sides to the front when tied. This way, the coat looks like a cape from the back, and like a cinched slightly A-line coat front.

The coat it´s completely lined in a brown burgundy-ish silk. Labels are sewn vertically on the inside at the edge of the front opening of the coat.

Condition: Mint Condition. The fur is supple with no bald spots, no dryness, signs of damage, splits or shredding.

A wonderful investment piece. Never to go down in value, a must have for the season and soo warm...
