| Basically enzymes in fruit and
vegetables that not only can affect your children's general
well-being, but can cause behavioural problems like A.D.D., and have
even been linked to Autism! Since the
salicylates are more abundant near and in the skin, even "failsafe"
fruits and vegetables must be peeled. Also, the produce must be fully ripe, as this
greatly reduces the enzymes. This is a factor when dealing with
Pears, probably the safest fruit for these kids. Many fruits, such as citrus, are
totally off the list, while others have varieties that are
acceptable (eg: Red & Gold "Delicious" Apples, but not others;
Butternut Pumpkin, but not others, etc). |

If you're a lover of pickles and preserves, chances are you are going to really
love my products! Seriously, I've had many people say mine are the best
preserved goods they've ever tried, and the word that keeps hopping up to
describe them (besides
"delicious"!) is "PURE".
Preservatives?? Get out of here!
Just a bit of sugar and good old-fashioned "sterilising"
(heat sealing).
Why on earth would I want to add chemicals??
(If you haven't already figured it out, there's
actually something very unnatural and just plain WRONG about doing
that!). Preservatives are DANGEROUS
CHEMICALS that are AFFECTING OUR CHILDREN
(probably the majority of kids diagnosed with A.D.D. and fed harmful drugs for
it are actually reacting to the preservatives in food!)
so you will not find them in any of my products!

Up for grabs are jars of my homemade
LOW-SALICYLATES "SOUR" APPLE JAM, which is not only unique,
but absolutely delicious! Not only is this tasty treat great value, it
is free of preservatives and flavourings, and
low in sugar. All you get are
Peeled Ripe Golden Delicious
Apples, a tiny bit of
Citric Acid to make it sour, and
some
White Sugar (50% or less)
- three "failsafe" ingredients most kids with these health issues can eat.
I was lamenting the fact that kids with food intolerances couldn't enjoy
my tangier jams with lemon, but then I found out citric acid is the
low-salicylate alternative. Now people with allergies can enjoy a thick
and fruity jam similar to my Lemon, Apple & Cinnamon Jam (without the
cinnamon, of course).
For concerned parents, I happily answer any
questions regarding my low-salicylates products... but if you want to ask
"What else is there in this product?", you
can save yourself the time and effort typing the email, as the answer is:
NOTHING! I assure you, this
jam contains absolutely nothing but ripe, peeled golden delicious apple with white sugar
(and a sprinkle of citric acid), and
certainly no added pectin! And I stress that all fruits are fully ripened
(at home, if need be) and peeled, as I know these are major factors with "failsafe"
foods for your kids with intolerances.
Your imagination is the limit for what you
can do with this tasty spread: spoon it onto ice-cream, mix it with
home-made yoghurt, fill pastries/tarts with it, spread it on toast or
fresh baked bread, include it in a strudel or cake, or eat it straight out of
the jar! Apparently this jam is wonderful on "jam drop" biscuits, and
I've even had customers glaze a roast with it, but I'm sure you can find even
more uses for this yummy treat.
 Each 150ml jar contains
185g
of jam by weight.
And like all my jams, sauces and preserves, this product
is heat-sealed.
