THE FASS FUEL SYSTEM IS A POSITIVE FLOW HIGH PERFORMANCE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR DIESEL ENGINES.
IT HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO REMOVE AIR / VAPOUR, WATER AND DIRT FROM DIESEL FUEL TO PROVIDE TEST CELL PERFORMANCE IN REAL WORLD CONDITIONS.
THE FASS SYSTEM HAS IT'S OWN LIFT PUMP. THIS PUMP BRINGS THE FUEL FROM THE FUEL TANK INTO THE FASS SYSTEM THROUGH A SPIN-ON, WIRE SCREEN, WATER SEPARATOR. THE FUEL IS THEN PUMPED INTO THE MAIN FUEL FILTER WHERE THE DIRT AND AIR VAPOR IS REMOVED ( The remaining Air/Vapor is sent back to the fuel tank through the return line ).
THE FUEL IS NOW UNDER PRESSURE TO THE ENGINE.
IF A PROBLEM OCCURS AND THE SITUATION CALLS FOR IT , THE FASS SERIES IS EQUIPPED WITH A BY-PASS PORT THAT ALLOWS THE ENGINE TO CONTINUE RUNNING. THE FUEL IS STILL BEING FILTERED IN THE BY-PASS MODE.

CATERPILLAR Models A, B, C, E, AND C SERIES ELECTRONIC ENGINES, CUMMINS M11, N14 (Fully Electronic) AND ISX, DETROIT DIESEL SERIES 50 AND 60, AND MACK ENGINES.
