FATMAN 182 VALVE (TUBE) AMPLIFIER

Fatman 182 Valve (Tube) Amplifier.

Stereo amplifier, 3 x switchable "line" level inputs via RCA socket.

Full valve / tube technology. The Valve /Tube line up is: 4 x 6N3 as preamps / drivers, 2 x KT88-98 as output valves (1 per channel) and a 6E2 "Magic Eye" indicator.

Output power is rated at 18 Watts RMS per channel (Single ended class A) The output transformers will feed either 4 ohm or 8 ohm speaker loads.

The front panel controls consist of a mains On/Off rocker switch, a blue "ON" led, a 3 position rotary input selection switch and a rotary volume control.

The back panel includes a mains input socket with integral fuse and mains voltage selection switch (115V/ 230V AC), 3 pairs of RCA input sockets, and 6 x brass banana sockets for speaker wiring connection.

The chassis is finished in bright polished stainless steel with black "piano finish" end blocks.

The Valves / Tubes are located on the chassis in front of a  black  rectangalular "transformer can" which houses the mains power transformer and the 2 audio output transformers.

The unit is fitted with a perforated metal valve guard to prevent probing fingers from being burnt by the valves / tubes (they do run very hot), but this can be easily removed to display the valves and the dancing "Magic Eye" in all their glory.
