Mammillaria longimamma, known as the Finger Cactus or Nipple Cactus, is a globular cactus that is native to southern USA (Texas) and Mexico. The name
longimamma comes from the Latin for "long nipple".
Grows as a solitary or more commonly clustering and can get to 10cm tall and wide. The tubercules are long and flabby, finger-like and are tipped with spines.
Produces an abundance of bright yellow flowers, 6cm in diameter , in summer.
Prefers full sun and is hardy to -5°C.
