You are looking at a newly converted FIXED retroroad bike (single speed.ie 1 gear) with a front brake calliper added for extra stopping power. This style of bike is popular with couriers/messengers and city commuters for their simplicity, cool slick look and of course the thrill of riding fixed. Paintwork on frame is Excellent. This retro ride is in 100% perfect working order. Has New alloy wheelswith correct non-slip fixie LOCKRING, - hub is a flip flop style so can be used as single speed freewheel or fixed - currently set up as FIXED.

"A fixed-gear bicycle or fixed wheel bicycle is a bicycle without the ability to coast. The sprocket is screwed directly on to the hub and there is no freewheel mechanism. A reverse-threaded lockring is usually fitted to prevent the sprocket from unscrewing. Whenever the rear wheel is turning, the pedals turn in the same direction, this allows a cyclist to stop without using a brake, but rather by resisting the rotation of the cranks. One method for stopping without brakes is skidding. Skidding involves leaning forward to unweight the rear wheel, allowing the cyclist to stop the rear wheels's rotation (and therefore that of the cranks) thus bringing the bike to a halt.
