Thames Freighter 1965 camper. Factory 4 speed column change manual. 68000 miles only. This was a one owner until I bought it two years ago. Purchased new in 1965 and converted to a camper by Athol Hedges in Brisbane. This is a very original unmolested van that runs and drives down the road just fine, there is no registration but we do have the 1st set of rego plates for a QLD buyer. We have also got the standard wheels if wanted. The engine is good as is the gearbox and diff. Fitted is a new stainless steel exhaust, the hockey stick style manifold leaks but two perfect spares are included. The brakes are fine and a good battery is included. Could be driven with a permit or certainly onto a transport truck. The body is very good with little to no rust apparent other than surface evidence. Forget the high priced VW Combi’s this Thames Camper is a fraction of the price and I would say much rarer with just the appeal. For further info email, I will reply shortly after.
