The Formostar Infrared Body System - So What Is It?

The Formostar Far Infrared Body Wrap system uniquely combines far infrared heat commonly used in saunas with the benefits of body wrap treatments, to provide a highly effective way to reshape the body.

Far Infrared heat is transmitted through six heavy-duty non-allergenic silicone bandages that are wrapped around the body as you lie on a massage bed. The body gently heats up during the 50 minute session inducing sweat, similar to how the body would react during exercise, helping to tone the body. Formostar is like working out while you lie down but without the anaerobic component.

The bandages are placed on specific areas of the body, targeting the arms, abdomen, hips and thighs for women and the chest, hips, thighs and calves for men.

A virtual workout

The Formostar Far Infrared Body Wrap, combines the properties of Far Infrared, sauna and body wrap products. Far infrared energy (FIR) is a part of the natural light spectrum minus the UV element that can damage the skin. When FIR energy penetrates through the skin to the subcutaneous tissues, it transforms from light to heat energy. This energy is absolutely essential and beneficial for human beings. The human body can best absorb infrared energy in the 3 to 50 micron range, with the most effective absorption rate occurring around the 9.4 micron level. Infrared is a low frequency and low energy source that provides the essential heat to keep us warm. When warmed, the earth radiates infrared rays in the 7 to14 micron bands with peak output at 10 microns. The natural resonant frequency of the human body ranges from approximately 8 to 15 microns. The Far Infrared segment of the electromagnetic spectrum occurs just below (or "infra") to red light as the next lowest energy band. This band of light is not visible to human eyes but we can, however, feel this type of light, which we perceive as heat.
