FRENCH STYLE GARDEN WEATHERVANE

In French "Chanteclair" (or Chanticleer in English) is the common name for the rooster (le coq). At the farm the rooster"rules the roost" and keep an eye on things to ensure all is well in his domain. For this reason , the rooster was choosen to be on the top of the weathervane to survey all around it. French history shows the rooster in this manner for more than 1000 years. When you travel in Europe, no doubt you will see numerous examples of "girouettes" (weathervane) with Chanteclair in both cities and rural villages,vigilantly surveilling !

The tall wrought iron we are proposing is ideal to know the wind direction following the cardinal points. It also creates interest to your outdoors especially in the colder seasons when the garden is less leafy. The weathervane or " la girouette " is about 1m80 high  ,it is also powder coated to resist rust.
