Due to storage issues we ask that you collect items within
three days of sale. Buyers need to contact us directly by phone to arrange
payment and pick up, or negotiate longer storage periods where necessary.
If items cannot be collected within three days, they must be
paid in full into our bank account to ensure we can hold the item for an
extended period that is agreed upon between us, and you, VIA TELEPHONE.
Due to recent problem buyers we ask that only people that
are serious about purchasing bid on our items.
We have recently introduced a policy for items that have not
been collected within 2 weeks. They will be re-listed if the winning bidder has
not made appropriate arrangements with us in this time.This is our safe guard in case you are another
‘no-show’, however buyers need not take offence to this, as if you make efforts
to complete the purchase within following days we can cancel the re-listed item
if bids have not been placed. This helps us to keep things moving.
We have had at least two problem buyers in recent weeks that
have had extreme difficulty understanding this. Neither of which paid or
collected within 2 weeks, nor did they make appropriate arrangements with
us.Both of these buyers proceeded very
promptly to leave negative feedback, without resolving the simple problem
directly with us.
If you are the kind of person that does not understand what
is written above, or are unable to verbally communicate any simple issues that
may arrise from a transaction, before attempting to harm our business with
bogus negative feedback, please, please, do not bid on our items. We are sick
and tired of feedback abuse.
We are completely reasonable and extremely honest people.
All issues that arise through ebay come down to people’s failure to communicate,
or lack of knowledge of ebay ethics. We also ask that if you ever have any
issues you call us directly to see what can be worked out.
We have encountered many individuals who think that just
because they have won the bid it allows them to take as much time as they like,
we’ve had ‘no shows’ after many weeks from the date of sale, and people who are
unable to pay for things they have bought. We therefore lose a great deal of
time and money in listing costs etc, and re-listed items sometimes lose their
appeal as previous bidders may wrongly suspect there was a problem with the
item itself, and not with the winning bidder. That is why we will no longer tolerate
irresponsible ebay users.
Ebay is only a little over a decade old, and it still has a
great deal of problems. Much like human kind, ebay evolves to solve its
problems every day. With luck there will be a lot fewer problems such as those
listed above in future, and some people may even learn to improve their
communication skills!
A BRIEF ANALOGY:
Picture an ebay store as a physical retail outlet such as Myer.
Myer obviously services a multitude of reasonable, understanding and greatful
customers. Every now and again they encounter unreasonable customers that do
not understand the store’s policies. These customers are permitted by law to
grafitti the front door of the store with discriminatory slogans such as
‘liars’ and ‘don’t trust’. This is extremely harmful to the store’s business,
however the store is powerless to have the grafitti removed.
Ebay currently has great buyer protection policies, but
there are very few policies that protect the sellers, from whom they derive
their income.... Ironic isn’t it?!
Now that is all off my chest, we hope you have a chance to
enjoy some of the wonderful bargains we have on offer on ebay, and remember, if
you ever encounter any issues, they will be simple ones. Communication is king,
and we are all ears!
