Black Frockcoat by Tails and the Unexpected


A superbly made double-breasted frockcoat in black with crisply cut edges and a distinguished squared-off tail in the traditional Edwardian style. The defining piece of gentlemen's formal wear.

The frockcoat is double-breasted and has six buttons to the front, pointed-lapels and a full skirt, as opposed to the half-skirt of the morning and evening tailcoats. Sometimes known as the Prince Albert, after the consort to Queen Victoria who popularised this garment in the mid-nineteenth century.
