This is a true 1965 L series Strat.

Purchased several years ago from Australia's premier guitar dealer and has remained pretty much unplayed since bought. This is a serious collectors item.

Condition is excellent plus grade with minor standard belt buckle wear the rear and beautiful lacquer checking showing its age and enhancing its appearance.

As far as issues are concerned, it has one extra string tree on the head stock and has been professionaly refretted many moons ago.

The neck date stamp shows 2 FEB 1965 B. There are no routs or any alterations to the body or electrics. The neck also has a Brazillian rosewood fret board with clay dot inlays. Staying true to its originality it has a beautifuly aged green guard typical of an early '65 strat.

Comes with original hard shell case. If you know these guitars it comes with original 3 way switch and no rewound pickups, no respray and no after market parts.

This guitar was advertised  5 years ago for $57000 but if you know how this market works, who knows what is worth at todays rates.
