Fender Stratocaster. Dan Smith era .David Gilmour special?

The Neck has the date of manufacture   9th of August 1988.

 The legendary Scott Buehl of the Fender Custom shop at Corona California has his stamp on the neck. So I would assume that  modifications were carried out by Mr Buehl which would make this guitar a custom shop special order.The Guitar has active EMG's and GOTOH  tuners.

It comes in a Hard Case. I would not know if the case is genuine Fender.

The Guitar is in excellent condition with no dings or chips.

It has a very low action with no string buzz, having been recently set up by the Luthiers at The Guitar Shop Paddington, Brisbane.

Gilmour's main stage guitar is a USA 57 Vintage Reissue Strat fitted with EMG-SA pickups. This is what you will be buying.

So the neck and the guitar may have been made in 1984 and then the guitar was made to David Gilmour fans specifications in 1988.Since there is a date stamp Aug 9 1988 and a Scott Buehl stamp on the neck. I think that Scott Buehl worked at the Corona plant.
