This listing is for a gorgeous multi-coloured hall runner. It measures 395 long x 80 wide which is a generous size. The design is a Persian Birjand - hand-knotted in East Persia (Iran) city of Birjand. It is called a "garden of paradise design" with animal motives in the borders. The border colour is cream and sky-blue, and it has various subtle colours woven through, including navy, green, burgundy, beige and olive.
We bought the runner in 2007 new, and paid approximately $2,000 for it. We received a certificate from the company who sold it to us, estimating the insurance replacement value at $4,900.
It is in very good condition - it has been in a hallway so has not been exposed to the sun, and are a non-smoking household. There are no stains or visible wear.
It is a gorgeous rug and we are sorry to part with it - but we're downsizing to a smaller house and won't be needing it. I'll also be clearing out lots of other small pieces of furniture & decorator items in the next few weeks, so keep any eye on my other listings!
