Fisher-Price ‘FlutterBye Dreams Swing’ Baby Chair Look no further. Here it is. This baby swing chair is the perfect gift for the newest member of your family. On the surface, it’s a great chair with the following features: • Automated swing function at the flick of a switch. This offers 6 different speeds, ranging from a slow and gentle swing to a faster, more adventurous swing just in case your baby is a bit a thrill-seeker. Now, I don’t read many medical journals (in fact, I’ve never read one) but I’m sure somewhere in the world, somebody has suffered from Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) due to having to continually rock their baby. This chair will help make sure you don’t succumb to this condition. • The next is music. The band Kiss once recorded a song titled ‘God gave rock ’n’ roll to you’. Well, Fisher-Price didn’t miss out on their share when they were building this chair. It features 10 different tunes, and while none of them feature Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley, I’m sure the youngsters that sit in a chair like this find them very nice. Some even feature the sounds of birds tweeting (in a nice way, not in an Alfred Hitchcock-type way). • Lights and toy-things. In case your child needs a little extra stimulation, this chair also features some flashing lights and three hanging toys – one is a bird, one is a butterfly, and I’m not really sure what the third one is but it’s orange in colour. • The aluminium frame is blue and the plastic seat is white. The seat cover is yellow and this is removable for cleaning (just in case your baby likes to think he’s eating at one of those Teppanyaki restaurants where they throw food around). The little table on the front is removable too. So, as I said before, that’s the chair on the surface but it really is much more than just a baby swing chair. It’s an experience. Here are just two more reasons why you should bid on it: • They say you can’t buy love, but this chair may actually be the exception to the rule. Let’s put it this way: Imagine your child twenty years from now, and they’re in therapy. During one of his/her weekly sessions they come to realise that all their problems come back to the fact that they didn’t have a baby swing chair, just like this one. Horrible image, isn’t it? Why risk it? Take action now and bid on this chair. • If you’re a grandparent looking for something for the new grandchild, we know what it’s like. The competition amongst grandparents trying to outdo each other can be fierce. But this chair right here is the one that will guarantee you victory. Not only will this give you a great feeling of one-upmanship, but the true consequences will be much longer lasting. Consider this: Years from now, when you can no longer manage a big household on your own, your grandchild will be faced with two options: 1) Build a granny flat for you, or 2) Put you in a home for old people. I agree that building a granny flat is a huge commitment, but a few tactically-hung photos showing how much fun your grandchild had in this superb swing chair, as well as a few subtle reminders of who gave it to him/her, can have untold benefits. Obviously, if you need to know anything else about the chair, just ask. (If we don’t know the answer, we’ll try our best to make one up). Local pick-up only.
