Vogue Knitting Collection Pattern "For Beginners" Cardigan Pattern. The perfect first sweater project for beginning knitters, complete with tips and how-to illustrations. This versatile cardigan, which also works as a light jacket first appeared in the Winter 92/93 issue of Vogue Knitting. It is slightly oversized with drop sholders and garter stitch edges.
The original pattern used Classic Elite La Gran Mohair. Any bulky yarn can be used. I have done this jacket in both Brown Sheep Bulky and in Patons Divine.
Gauge is 11 stitches and 17 rows = 4" on size 11 needles. 5 sizes for bust sizes 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40.
