69 FASTBACK – no reserve, one bid and you could own it. Unfortunately I cannot continue with this project, I have endeavoured to describe the car as well as I can, please call or email any questions. Thanks, Michael 0418 505 742 The Good – it’s a ’69 fastback The motor is a solid 302 Windsor, with aluminium Weiland intake and a brand new 650 Holley 4 barrel with vac secondaries. It has a double timing chain set, high pressure oil pump, small Crane cam and hydraulic lifters. Fel-pro gaskets were used throughout the motor. It is fitted with long tube 4-into-1 Hooker headers with 3 inch flange – no exhaust system fitted. New HEI electronic distributor and new plugs fitted. The 4 core ‘desert’ radiator has been cleaned and leak tested (no leaks), new thermostat and radiator hoses fitted. 4 speed "close ratio" top loader with a new Hurst shifter. Top loader is from a big block and has 31 spline output. Clutch is an 11 inch unit and has been converted to a hydraulic system. Diff is 8" with 'Richmond' 3.55 gears. Ventilated front disc brakes. 1 & 1/8” sway bar fitted on front. 620 pound front coil springs from a big block. Chrome work around the windscreens are in very good order. 15 inch steel wheels from a Thunderbird, with good tyres. The Bad The original white paint is pretty ordinary. Surface rust on bumpers and under carriage. The interior needs new carpet, a dash pad and a new clutch pedal pad. The driver seat needs resewing in two spots. Incorrect sump fitted, dip stick needs to be modified. The original driver’s side door glass is out of the door, but is included, as is the arm rest and top edge of door. The grill is damaged around the left inner headlight. There is a small hole in the hood lining. Front left side damage is superficial, damage to the left guard and headlight bucket (replacement panels included) front valance panel also bent. Bonnet has some rust spots and holes where bonnet pins were. There is no damage to the inner guard, front end or frame. The Ugly There is considerable rust in the lower-body, it has had the drivers floor replaced, but an awful job. The torque boxes, doors, lower rear guards/inner boot area, tail light panel, spots at top of shock towers, front & rear rails and passenger floor need work. Genuine left and right front guards, left front headlight bucket and boot lid, all in excellent condition. Fibreglass front chin spoiler and fibreglass reproduction bonnet scoop - not fitted. Electric fuel pump. New chrome strip for bonnet. Rear bumper bar in excellent cond. Various engine brackets, power steering pump, alternator etc. I have full import papers and very happy to assist with transportation at buyers cost. |
