this is a DSM Performance Products SUPER High Torque Ford Gear Reduction Tilton/Hitachi Mini Starter. This unit is rated at a full 2 hp we are offering the same type as the RED starter pictured, for under 1/2 the price of the other guy's ) also included is the bolts and fitting instructions

OUR STARTER FITS ALL SB/ BB Ford Rather than list all the Ford engines, we can just say our unit fits all of them. Tilton Style High Torque Gear Reduction Starter Motors turn the engine over at a higher rate than the stock starters. Producing much more cranking power. These starter motors also feature an offset design resulting in better clearance between the oil pan and the starter. The mounting block face-plate is adjustable.We also have them in standard block for those with a custom Engine Combo Colour, Each additional item will be at a reduced shipping rate. This will start any stock or medium built street rod, with ease under 11 to 1 compression ratio

This starter weighs 10.2 pounds. This is less than half the weight of the early style delco starter. In the world of performance, this is an incredible weight reduction from the front half of your car, for as little as it cost.

Header clearance versus using the large Delco starter is another bonus. Notice the pictures of the unit mounted on an engine. Our store manager was able to easily place most of his hand between the headers and starter. The clearence is more than enough for any headers on the market. The front plate is able to be rotated for even more clearance. Do not be fooled by the physical size of this starter. It produces enough power to easily start engines with up to 11:1 compression ratio. Big block engines are no problem as well.

This item is brand new, not refurbished , nor is it a discontinued item. Factory boxed. This is a premium series starter. Very few sellers have this new style starter.

No where will you find these starters at this price. We have used these starters on our high compression engines with no problems at all.
