Ford XC Falcon Fairmont V8

 V8 Restoration Project

Due to my ever growing young family I have decided to sell my sedan restoration project so I can purchase a stationwagon.

I purchased this car recently in April 09 when a neighbour at the time was offering it for sale.

You are looking at an XC 1977 Fairmont  4 Door.
The car is running a 4.9L 302 Cleveland (out of a ZH Fairlane) ,electronic distributor,twin plated clutch,twin exhausts and 4 speed single rail gearbox.
The car is on straight gas with an Impco gas mixing carbi and 90L tank in the boot installed in 2005.(petrol tank is still in the boot but disconnected)
The car includes a  GS dash,GS Steering Wheel,GS Bonnet,GS Petrol Cap,Over riders,XD retrimmed cloth bucket front seats with matching rear cloth seat, centre console,dash mat & headlight protectors and passenger side mirror.The car is sound inside with black cobra/gxl door cards,kick panels and gs scuff plates.Head lining is black vinyl and rear parcel shelf needs tidy up due to removal of 1/2 roll cage which will be included with sale of vehicle.The car also has a towbar.
The car also has power steering and the dash facia to accomodate air conditioning although no air to speak of.(There is a switch in the console which activates air compressor for external hose attachment to inflate tyres etc-very handy)
The falcon will come with its original set of 15" mags off eb falcon and not the hotwires that are on it in the pictures.
The car went out of rego August 2008 and I have been preparing for blue slip.
Rust spots were in the two front pillars,a couple of spots in the lower sills and the majority of rust was around the tail lights where I have been told is fairly common.Basically it would not take much more to get her back up to roadworthy.
The car requires a new radiator to start her up again and the windscreen will need to be replaced before rego,water does not enter into cabin.
I will include a spare front left door and front left guard which may be useful.

In summary we have about $6000+ worth of parts that make up this car and represents excellent value for money

With these hard economic times my car represents outstanding value for money as an entry level complete v8 restoration project for the price conscious enthusiast and will not dissappoint.
