Norman Lindsay (1879 - 1969)
Wonderful Print Framed Print of the 1938 Etching, Engraving, and Stipple 'Visitors to Hell' by Norman Lindsay. Deep Polished Walnut Frame - Size 25 cm x 30 cm The print is 140 mm x 190 mm ( close-up below )
It is matted in White with a black line under glass - A little Cheeky, a little Creepy (The work is Ready to Hang) The starting price is low, as the Post and Packing is expensive, but there's nothing I can do about that, sorry, and I notice Australia Post have increased their prices yet again Packing and Postage in Australia $14.90 Consider Registered & Insured Post. An extra $2.80 gives you peace of mind, and ensures eligibility for PayPal's Buyer protection Postage Discounts Postage is becoming embarrassingly expensive. Because a lot of my items are Prints under glass these have to be very carefully custom packed, and I now use a wooden panel ( either plywood, masonite, or MDF board ), as well as the usual bubble wrap and cardboard. This adds to the weight, but also the protection, and since employing this method there have been very few breakages, despite Australia Post's best efforts. If using Calculated Postage to obtain a Postage Price it sometimes appears excessive, so if you feel this is the case please 'Ask a question' This link can be found on any Auction Item page, and if you let me know your Postcode I will be able to give you an exact price to your destination, as I try to be as flexible as possible, and some items are not posted from South Australia, which can confuse the Calculated Postage when estimating costs to distant destinations. If you are interested in more than one item it is important to 'Ask a question', as in a lot of cases if more than one item can be SAFELY packed and posted together you will find the savings to be quite excellent, with the second item often Free Postage or a small charge of only a dollar or two. If you are interested in a
particular item you may find I have something else which may interest you, and
by combining purchases it's quite possible to save an average of around $15
postage on the second item, making the Postage Charge more bearable, so this makes the second item quite inexpensive Please Check out my other Listed Auctions International Buyers approximately AU$39.90 Air Mail. Please ask a Question giving destination for exact quote. Thank you. PayPal payments please allow a possible extra 3 - 7 days to expected delivery time, as funds have to be cleared and reach my Bank before dispatch. Items are usually posted 24 - 72 hours after cleared payment is actually in my Bank. Sorry, but because of Privacy and Safety issues, Pickup is NOT an option on any of my Auctions. It's unfortunate, but that's the way our World is now, and it isn't wise to allow strangers into one's home: Sounds paranoid, but home invasions have occurred. Please try to understand that my family's safety and privacy are paramount, so please don't ask if pick-up is available, as the answer is a definite NO. Save on Postage. Good discounts apply to items that can be safely packed and posted together All prints with glass are custom packed for protection even so Australia Post does its best to crush and smash, so Registered Post is recommended
The Norman Lindsay images I sell are mostly for decorative purposes, and have an aesthetic value only. They are not ( unless so stated ), of any great monetary value. I source them from the Norman Lindsay Gallery, State and Provincial Galleries, Estates, Second Hand Shops, damaged books old and new, cards, Internet Auction sites including eBay, actual Auctions, copied material, Art Dealers and Galleries, Sales Persons, Hobbyists, and my own collections. This allows persons like myself who cannot afford the more expensive Collector's Works to own and appreciate something beautiful and satisfying which would otherwise be beyond our reach. The prices may deviate considerably, as there is no norm; some pictures cost more than others, and the size, price, and quality of Picture Frames used can vary enormously. Likewise the shipping costs are often different, as even though some Artworks look the same, or at least very similar, I have to treat each offering individually, as some frames weigh more than others depending on what they are made from, as do matting and backings, and necessary packing methods. This one is a Book Plate from the Art Gallery of Western Australia I also attempt to make a small profit, but as eBay's listing fees, and Final Value fees, and PayPal fees eat into the final price, the profit is often very small indeed, and as I attempt to pack carefully ( a single item can take up to 1½ hours to pack satisfactorily ), and even though I use recycled materials when available a lot of time is used which cannot be regained or charged for, or the Auctions would be intolerably expensive. So please forgive me if I do charge a dollar or two on some articles: It is only a token, as most of the Postage fee goes to Australia Post. It really upsets me that postage is often more than the article itself, and that is why I attempt to keep my starting prices as low as possible; If I didn't Auctions would be out of everyone's reach.
Good Luck Thanks for Looking and for Supporting my Norman Lindsay Auctions
