 Title: "Frangipani Coloured Cluster" ARTIST'S STATEMENT Artworks of floral arrangements lend themselves to fluid line, organic shape and a wonderful selection of colour. The Plumeria is a West Indian plant, also known as a Frangipani, which is named after the inventor Marquis Frangipani. This image shows a variety of colourful, tropical frangipani blooms against a green and mauve backdrop, whose texture echoes the ripples of refreshing cool water. The frangipani blooms featured in this image is sculpted by myself in virtual 3D space from live specimens. Hand painted textures are applied to the models which are then arranged in a composition where lighting effects similar to a traditional photo-studio work are applied. It is then render as a unique 2D image. The rendered image is then touched-up by hand prior to printing.

Printed on high quality 240gm 100% cotton, acid-free, archival, fine art paper. A3 size (29.7 x 42cm). These prints are the artwork's original physical form, NOT reproductions. This is an original art work which was created digitally, through virtual 3 dimensional sculpting directly onto a computer, the models are my own original creations. The process of creating an art image digitally restricts the physical presentation of the artwork to printed form. So like wood blocks, etchings, screen printing and photography, it is not possible to have any other physical representation. Each print comes with a signed certificate of Authenticity directly from the artist along with a written artist statement about the image that you are purchasing. MATERIAL QUALITY Includes a signed certificate of authenticity which includes an artist statement. Posted flat, sandwiched between thick cardboard so that it will NOT be rolled or creased. ARTIST QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Di holds an Art Certificate (Tafe 2 years full time) & a Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts (University 3 years full time) and has been a practicing artist for 18 years. She has won numerous international art contests. Her former employment includes Artist-In-Residence and Private Art Tutor for a community center and an Art Teacher for a children's resource unit.
