Description:
This is a lovely set of six early 20th Century French cane backed and seated fruitwood / walnut / birch standing on carved scrolled cabriole legs having splay legs to the rear united by lovely shaped serpentine front and side aprons.  The chairs have a decorative drop-on bergere cane seats set in a lovely walnut / fruitwood frame rising over which are the shaped backs of serpentine form with original cane work with a carved crest rail and moulded rails and stiles.  A very attractive set of dining chairs.

Date:
The chairs date circa 1920s.

Condition:
The chairs are in lovely condition, retaining their original finish having a lovely blonde colour.  The cane work is in very good condition with just some minor wear.  There are one or two old dead wormholes to the chairs which do not affect them structurally, this being quite common in French fruitwood and walnut furniture.  All of the chairs are good and firm of joint.
