| This refrigerator magnet features an illustration of Bonzo the dog, a delightful 1920s creation of English cartoon artist, George Ernest Studdy (1878-1948).
Bonkers for Bonzo
In terms of popularity, publicity and endorsements, Charles Shultz's Snoopy had nothing on Bonzo. From his first appearance in 1921, the pudgy little dog was everywhere! He hawked radios, cigarettes and tires, was represented by toys and knickknacks, was published in books, newspapers, postcards and advertisements.
And all these years later Bonzo still has fans around the world. Big Brother Ebay won't permit me to give you links to some of the great websites about Bonzo, but if you're not familiar with this little guy, I urge you to do some Googling and discover his many adventures and memorabilia.

This magnet pictures an image from an old postcard that originally appeared in The Sketch magazine/newspaper in 1922. (The Sketch regularly published short stories by Agatha Christie in those years, too. Must have been a fun read.)
Bonzo wasn't constrained by today's repressiveness. In addition to puppy dog escapades to charm any dog lover, he was known to drink, smoke, party and generally have a fine old time.

Please be advised that none of my magnets are 3 dimensional objects. None light up, make noises or tell  time. They are flat pictures printed on flat flexible 30mil magnetic vinyl with a protective satin-finish top coating and hand finished edges. They are roughly twice the thickness and strength of magnetic material found at office supply stores, and the average size magnet holds 1-2 sheets of paper. |

| Q. What about durability?
A.  To clean, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not soak, use abrasives or apply cleaning products containing bleach or solvents. I've run them through the dishwasher without disaster, but they'll last longer if you keep them out of puddles and away from puppy teeth. |

A. Most magnet orders are shipped by 1st class mail, in standard business envelopes (so watch your mail and don't throw the envelope away as a bill or junk mail.) For moisture protection, they are packed inside a poly bag, and to prevent bending are sandwiched between sheets of cardboard. |
