      This Authentic Antique Genuine First Edition Original Japanese Woodblock By Hasagawa Sadanobu Shows a Town Scene from the Late Edo Period and is Signed Gountei Sadahide Ga in the Red Panel in the Lower Right of the Scene. It Also Displays the Round Aratame Censor Seal Only Used in the Year 1870 near the Signature and this Accurately dates the Woodblock to the Year 1870 .

     This Fine Original First Edition Sadanobu Woodblock Print is Hand Printed on Fine Washi, Hand Made, Japanese Mulberry Bark Paper with Strong Ink Bleed Through to the Reverse Side, Measures 36cm x 23.5cm (14.2 inches x 9.2 inches) is in Good Condition for its Over 135 Years of Age. See Photos.

ABOUT THE ARTIST. SADANOBU, HASAGAWA lived from 1809 to 1879 and is known to have Only Produced Woodblocks from 1834 until his death in 1879. He studied under Shijo painter Ueda Kocho then Kunisada and Kunimasa in Osaka. Among his Personal names Naraya Bunkichi and Naraya Tokubei and He is the FIRST in a Four Generation Long Line of Woodblock Artists.
