Due to my first NEUTRAL Feedback I have received on an engraved print, PLEASE READ----

** These prints ARE cut from a BOOK as STATED, they are genuine PRINTS as the process they used for printing illustrations in books back in the 1800s differ from today and are all ENGRAVED from blocks and printed individually.

** ALL PRINTS have measurements stated, not ONCE BUT TWICE - PLEASE USE YOUR RULER to judge size PRIOR to purchase to save disappointment.

** I cut the best I can, there is always a border left that you can trim the print up to your satisfaction.

** FINALLY, if you are too ignorant to read the listing entirely, to work out what you are bidding on, then PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE from me to leave bad feedback just because you do not know what you are bidding on which is all described to the best of my ability, this is UNFAIR to a seller when you quite clearly don't own glasses, a ruler or scissors............... PS there is ALWAYS the option of asking Questions before purchasing, I always respond in a timely manner, lets make ebay fun and FAIR!!

This lot includes one ORIGINAL 1892 finely engraved Print on heavy, stable paper depicting A Forest Glade in Tropical Australia.

Measurements are 17.5cm by 27cm, I have left a border around the print not included in the measurements of print.

There is NO TEXT on the reverse, condition of print is excellent, as you can see from the pic, there are some water damage spots on the border which can be trimmed off.

My scanner is not perfect, when enlarged, little flecks of colour are seen, this is not in the print at all.

Source of Print- Australasia Illustrated I by Garran, 1st Ed, 1892 Fine Binding. Many prints from this Book first appeared in Garran's Picturesque Atlas of Australasia, 1886. These books were the greatest source of Australian history of the time, complete with many engravings from woodblocks, created by leading Australia and American Artists of the time.

I have been lucky enough to accumulate 2 of these books so I have one in poorer condition that I want to home as they are a tremendous portrayal of Australian History and would amazing framed.

Today engravings from the Picturesque Atlas series, including Garran's "Australasia Illustrated" are one of the few sources of images of life and work in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands in the 19th century and are highly collectable.

This item will be posted in a tough bag, between cardboard for safe arrival, any special requests, please ask. Sometimes, you may think postage is a little dear, but it depends on the size of each print. Some will be too large for letter rate, I do try to be fair at all times.
