         This Genuine Japanese Woodblock Print by Tsuchiya Koitsu is Entitled Yaizo no Hara and Shows a Scene of a Snow Bound Farmhouse at Sunset with Mount Fuji in the Background perfectly Displaying Koitsu's Unique Skill and Talent with Light Conditions. It is in Excellent Condition, Has Never Been Framed, Measures 29.5cm x 20.5cm (11.6 inches x 8 inches) and is Signed Tsuchiya Koitsu with His Round Red Seal Reading Shin, which Translates to True in Bottom Right of Scene.

       This Beautiful Koitsu Woodblock is Printed on Medium Weight Washi, Hand Made Japanese Paper, with Good Ink Bleed Through to the Reverse Side, and Displays Doi Teiichi Hanken Shoju Publishers Seal with the Harada Carver and Seki Printer's Seals in the Left Hand Margin as Proof of its Authenticity. This Remarkably Detailed and Subtly Coloured Woodblock was Originally Released in 1936 and this Example is a Later Edition, Hand Printed from the Original 1936 Woodblocks by the Famous Doi Teiichi Company.

ABOUT THE ARTIST. KOITSU, TSUCHIYA was born near Hamamatsu in 1870 and lived until 1949. He Moved to Tokyo when he was Fifteen years Old and was Soon a Student the Artist Kobayashi Kiyochika. He Lived and Studied with this Artist for 19 years Learning the Skills which Enabled him to Create the Amazing Landscape Scenes He is Famous For. He is most High Praised for his Ability to Use Light and Shadow to Great Advantage in His Woodblocks and this Skill Sets his Scenes Apart from Other Shin Hanga Artists of the Period.
