         This Genuine Japanese Woodblock Print by Shiro Kasamatsu is Entitled Mt Fuji from Yoshida, Yamanashi and Displays Kasamatsu's Unique Skill and Talent when Creating Scenes in Low Light Conditions. Look at the Amazing Glow around the Peak of Mount Fuji. It is in Excellent Condition, Has Never Been Framed, Measures 40.5cm x 27.2cm (1ft 3.9 inches x 10.7 inches) to the Edges of the Washi and is Signed Shiro with His Red Seal in the Lower Right of the Scene and Shiro Kasamatsu in English in the Bottom Margin

         The Title In Japanese, Unsodo Publishers Seal, Printer's Seal and Carver's Seals Can be Seen in the Left Margin as well as the All Important Authentic Gei Watermark in the Lower Left Corner which is Visible When Held up to the Light. The Kento Cut in the Bottom Right Corner of the Washi Made in the Printing Process is Added Proof of a Genuine Unsodo Origin and There is also the Typical Tiny Unsodo Printing Smudge on the Far Edge of the Right Hand Margin. This Woodblock was Originally Released in 1958 and This Example is a Later Edition Hand Printed from the Original 1958 Woodblocks. Contact us for more pictures or details if required.

ABOUT THE ARTIST. Shiro Kasamatsu Lived from 1989 to 1991. He was Born in Asakusa, Tokyo, and became a Student of Kiyokarta at the Age of 13. He is One of the Most Highly Respected of the Shin Hanga Artists Creating Many Landscape Scenes in a Unique and Individual Style. He was Published by Watanabe then Unsodo and in the Late 1950s decided to Only Produce Self Published Work.
