GENUINE VINTAGE OMEGA BUMPER AUTOMATIC SEAMASTER WATCH

This auction is an attractive Gents Vintage Omega Seamaster Bumper Automatic Calendar Wrist Watch with a beautiful refinished dial, Date on Six (6) & Hammer ( Half) Rotor. A watch with all these features is the RAREST one. This beautiful & well preserved watch is Omega signed on the dial, the case-back inside and the movement. Inside the case is the 17 jewels Automatic bumber movement cal. 353. It is termed by collectors today as a "bumper" automatic, this meaning that the mainspring is tensioned by means of an oscillating weight pivoting backward and forwards rather than by a centrally fixed rotor that turned a full 360 degrees in both directions. The rocking motion of this weight can be clearly felt by the wearer, hence the "bumper" nickname used for these Calibres. The Omega serial # is 14943771. Size of the Case is 34mm in diameter (excluding crown) and Lug to Lug 40mm. The familiar Omega logo is on the Dial below 12. The watch comes on a very nice and high quality brand new black or brown leather strap. This beautiful watch is in excellent condition. As you can see from the photos the automatic movement and dial look great! The stainless steel case is also in very good condition. Please see photos.The age of this clean movement is approx 40 to 50 years and is in good working order - ready to wear or to join a collection. The dial has just been expertly refinished. Each dial is hand finished to give it a unique look & is just beautiful! The nicely refinished dial with golden figures & date frame on 6 - looks beautiful.

History of Omega
