This auction is for one VERY OLD CHARACTER SPOON - featuring a GNOME and MUSHROOM figural at the top.

The spoon is in excellent vintage condition - It could do with a polish to shine it up, but the overall condition is terrific.

It measures 15.3cm long (6 inches). The bowl of this spoon is quite elongated in the old style.

Please refer to my photo here as it forms part of this description.

Impressed down the handle of the spoon on the reverse side is "Zilfa Pleet" wording and it also has a tiny "Fox" picture impressed into it.

I'm not certain of where it was made, but I believe it may be of German origin.

I'm not certain of the metal used in the spoon, but I think it may be silver plated. I'm sure it's not stainless steel because the spoon is very old.

A really wonderful vintage spoon and its looking for a new loving home.
