Here's another auction by  Lone Star Trains and Collectibles, San Antonio's Classic Era Train Headquarters! You are bidding on an original railway bill of lading from the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway Company. The bill measures 11" x 8" and is typed in and discolored a little from age, as you can see from the photo. The Galveston Harrisburg and San Antonio is a very collectible early Texas railroad--one of the first through San Antonio! The bill is a little dry and has a few edge tears--most noticeably, one midway on the lefthand side and one at the bottom. The shipment was tents, poles, and trunks. Shaenfield Brothers is typed as the from on here--that was an old department store in San Antonio. Finkel and Lapidus of Luling, Texas is listed as the consigned to. There is also another receipt with this lot with similar information. It has some tears and chips missing, but it looks like the original bill for the goods from the east coast--North Carolina.
