TX6200 UHF Handheld Transceiver

The TX6200 is not only a fully featured 40 channel UHF CB Transceiver but also incorporates a wide band receiver capable of storing an extra 20 channels between 403 and 520 MHz. These extra channels can be included in the scan sequence of normal CB channels. Performance The full 5 Watt output power combined with a super sensitive receiver (-123 dBm threshold), gives maximum range when transmitting and receiving.
Construction The backbone of the TX6200 is a one piece solid die-cast frame enclosing a single printed circuit board. The front cover is manufactured from a thick polycarbonate ABS blend. The cover also includes a rubber 'standout' to protect the LCD window against scratching, making the TX6200 an extremely durable, rugged and robust handheld. Power Management Incorporated into the design of the TX6200 is an advanced 'battery Save' and 'Sleep Mode', offering prolonged battery life. This feature combined with the standard Nickel Metal Hydride large capacity battery (1200 mAh) vastly increases talk time. Another useful feature is the battery pack's own charging socket so the battery can be trickle charged at home or in a vehicle* without being attached to the transceiver (*optional vehicle charger BCV001 required). Operation The TX6200 is one of the most simple and versatile units on the market today. The menu driven software and multiple function keys enable quick and simple customisation and user setup. Extra listening frequencies can be added from the keys without the need of external computer programming.

  • Open and Group Scan Modes. - User selectable channels per scan group
  • Function Menu System. - The menu system allows access new features such as listening frequencies, squelch settings and CTCSS tone selection. It also allows the user to customise the display with signal strength, battery meter or frequency.
  • 5 Digit Selcall with Quiet Mode. - Also includes 10 Selcall memories with Alphanumeric tagging and ANI (Automatic Number Identification) make Selcall operation a breeze.
  • Battery Lever Indicator. - Displays a multi-stage battery icon to indicate the relative charge state of the battery.
  • 20 Extra User Programmable Listening Channels. - The wide band receiver allows the user to program up to 20 listening channels anywhere within the range of 403 - 520 MHz using the front panel keys. A manual-scan feature makes it easy to locate and store active channels.
  • Monitor Button. - Temporarily opens the Squelch in Silent or CTCSS modes to allow monitoring of the channel for signals before transmitting.
  • 3 Level Adjustable Digital Squelch. - Three pre-programmed selectable squelch levels allow the TX6200 to cope with almost any signal situation from quiet rural areas to busy city construction sites.
  • Quiet Mode. - Selectable on individual channels, the Quiet mode prevents incoming signals from being heard on selected channels unless preceded by your Selcall code.
  • Priority Channel Key for Instant Channel Recall. - A user programmable priority channel feature allows your working or local repeater channel to be instantly recalled at the press of a button.
  • Keylock. - Allows most keys to be locked to prevent them from being inadvertantly pressed during normal use.
  • CTCSS with Silent Mode. - User selectable Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System provides quiet channel operation (can be enabled or disabled on individual channels).
  • Surface Mount Technology. - The very latest surface mount component types, design and assembly techniques and quality control procedures are used to ensure the highest performance and reliability.
  • Selectable Hi/Low Transmitter Power. - Allows battery life to be extended when used in short range applications.
  • Australian Made. - The TX6200 has been totally designed and manufactured in Gladesville NSW to meet the demanding needs of the Australian community.
