Part 1     Soak in the drama of an outback gold safari as Jack Lange, author and prospector, takes you on an instructive adventure tour to the goldfields of northern Queensland. On this trip Jack uses the Minelab SD2000 metal detector. But the user of any detector would profit from the professional information provided about knowing where to look and how to read the ground. This DVD is an in-depth study about gold detecting, and therefore does not cover some introductory material about tuning the detector. He takes for granted that you have READ THE DETECTOR MANUAL.

Part 2   In this DVD Jack explains his every move right from the start, as he successfully locates gold in a new area. His search begins with map reading at home, and using an old book on the N.S.W. goldfields. This search takes him to rough terrain in mountainous country, where he explains his strategy in finding gold. You will learn how to ‘read’ the signs to locate gold-bearing ground. This is a valuable addition to Jack’s first DVD and contains helpful instruction, for all fossickers and detector operators to find more gold. Jack uses the SD2000 & SD2100.

Part 3   This DVD was taken especially to present aspects of detecting that even the serious pro may not have thought of. A diversity of goldfields were searched in the wilds of Nth Australia, from flat forested terrain through to mountainous ranges to give the best possible spread of conditions likely to be encountered. A number of beautiful nuggets were unearthed, and you will get valuable insights into Jacks successful thinking processes while he detects in a fair dinkum gold search. Jack used the Minelab SD2200D on this occasion as the GP was just released during the late stages of making this DVD, but the information here will not date.

Part 4  Jack begins by taking 30 minutes explaining the best way to tune your GP series detectors and the characteristics of various coils. Jack takes you on an adventure to the isolated wilds of far north Queensland on an actual gold expedition. He explains how to choose ground with the greatest potential once you have arrived at the goldfields, plus a variety of fresh gold hunting techniques. This is great viewing no matter which detector you use but, especially so for those who have purchased a GP or are considering purchasing one in the near future.  

Running time – 100 minutes 

The appreciation Jack has received from prospectors all over Australia is overwhelming. Some watch them just for entertainment, dozens of times. Others have been able to retire on the amount of gold they have found. Seven hours of highly informative and entertaining viewing. “Secrets the pros won’t tell you”. Just one small nugget will pay for the entire set!
