Silver plated kilt pin/brooch from the UK with celtic design.

There is a maker's mark on the back, but I am unable to make out what it is. It could either be a number or initials.

Near prisine condition, it is fitted with a roll lock clasp and measures approx. 90 mm long

Please read before bidding on my items....

PLEASE, do not bid on my items if you do not intend to honour the terms of the sale, as outlined below!***

****But first, a word about photos****

I take as many of my photos as possible in natural light; please be aware that due to variable lighting conditions and the settings on your computer, colours may appear slightly different in real life. PLEASE REFER TO THE DESCRIPTION which will describe the basic colour...if not sure, please ask.  I can always take additional photos on request (as long as I'm asked well before the auction end time!)

The 12 commandments.....

1. BANK DEPOSIT IS THE PREFERRED method of payment from Aussie buyers; bank details are listed below, on your invoice, and through Check-out. International payments via PAYPAL ONLY.

ALL payments are required within 7 days after the sale has ended- I am happy to combine postage on sales that have closed within 7 days of each other.

2. I NO LONGER SHIP TO ITALY OR CHINA UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO TAKE OUT TRACKING OR INSURANCE- BE ADVISED THAT THIS IS VERY EXPENSIVE!!; Sorry everyone, but I have experienced too many problems with the postal service in those countries. No exceptions. Be advised that these costs cannot be calculated until after the auction ends due to value of items, but you may expect an average extra of around AU$17-18 for insurance and around $48+ for 'tracking'!- I do not make anything on this service- these are the fees charged by Australia Post!

3. I am happy to combine items won within 7 days only . Please don't be offended by reminder notices sent at the end of the week if you are still bidding- they are sent routinely. Invoices are sent soon after the auction has ended- please email me if you haven't received one, as apparently a few haven't been going through! If you wish to combine shipping, PLEASE WAIT FOR YOUR INVOICE.

4. Please do not assume anything - if unsure, ASK. I try to answer emails promptly and accurately....although questions sent a few of hours before the auction ends may not get answered in time! Extra photos of any item are usually available on request.

5. BUY IT NOW OPTION. I no longer consider Buy-IT-Now offers on my auctions items. I do however have a wide range of very reasonably priced items in my store which are Buy It Now only- these will be added to my store at regular intervals- at least twice a week.

6. Generally, I DO NOT CLEAN vintage/antique items (especially jewellery)- expect some age related tarnish/vertigris or other marks on some pieces. (I will always note major problems and comment on items that are in particular need of attention) The patina on some old collectables and  jewellery may actually increase their value dramatically- cleaning it may diminish its value just as dramatically!

7. 'VINTAGE'  is late 1980's and earlier; ie 20 or more years old. 'ANTIQUE'  is anything older than 1939.  'RETRO' describes specific items, usually but not exclusively, from 1950-70's era. In any case, most of my items are pre-loved, so you can expect to see at least some wear associated with age. If I list a vintage item as 'PRISTINE', then it will be in like-new condition with no noticable wear. 'FINE' relates to the condition of antique  pieces - it means that the item is in excellent condition. 'REVAMPED' jewellery items are those reconstructed with parts that were not original to the piece OR is a new creation crafted from vintage parts.- Details will be listed accordingly. 'RESTORED' means that the piece has been replated/repainted, or had new stones etc in keeping with its original style. It may still have some new replacement parts, which will be listed accordingly. 'MODERN' is an item that is less than 20 years old. Please remember that most of my items are USED- 'NEW' will relate to brand new & unused pieces.

8. Most of my used items come from US or UK esates. I will always list noted major flaws, repairs, yada yada, on the auction page. I will also try to list the materials used, hallmarks, maker's marks and logos, country of origin, and any other identifying features or history if known. Sometimes I may forget to note something - if in doubt, refer to item 4. above.

9. I do not bite, so if you have a problem with making payment on time, please let me know. If you do not contact me (or reply to my emails), a Non Paying Buyer alert will be automatically posted after 10 days and the item re-offered for sale or to the next highest bidder. COMMUNICATION is always the preferable method!

10. There is a very small handling fee factored into my postage costs; I always pack my items safely, also I live in the country and need to travel some distance to the post office - however, my pledge to all buyers is that I will send your items in the next post- (i.e. within 24 business hours of receiving your IDENTIFIED payment.) Please note: If you make payment at an actual bank branch, I have no idea who it belongs to as it will only be processed as a deposit with NO ID- regardless of what the teller may tell you!- (the ANZ does not ever list the particulars for over the counter transactions). Let me know if you have paid over the counter at a bank branch! Items paid for via Paypal e-cheque still need to clear before the item(s) are sent. Overseas buyers should allow 2-3 weeks for First Class Air Mail- (it is usually quicker) Australia Post does not offer Global Priority Shipping. I DO NOT POST OVERSEAS VIA SEA OR SURFACE MAIL! NO EXCEPTIONS!

11. I always leave feedback upon receiving your payment- this is your 'receipt' that payment has been received; also, I don't believe in 'tit for tat' feedback. If however you are unhappy for any reason, please contact me first. I work my hardest and fairest to maintain a top feedback rating.

12. Visit my store and auction room with confidence, stay safe, happy and well,.... and visit often! My weekly auctions are usually listed every SUNDAY evening. Store items will be added weekly, as time permits me. Invoices are sent soon after the auction ends.

Lastly, if there are particular items that you are after, let me know and I will keep an eye out for them....I collect items from all around the world!
