This is a Genuine old Farm piece from the early 1900's , Generally known as depression furniture.
This piece came from the Wallidge family in the Mid North of S.A.
The Cabinet was farm built, starting with two old shield front doors that have a great time and age crackled paint, brown over an earlier soft green, this rest has been built up from packing case timber sheet galv and old patterned ceiling tin (a later addition) Door knobs are classic old wooden cotton reels.
This piece just oozes history and pioneering spirit. A very collectible Decor piece. These farm built pieces are now exceedingly hard to find and have a habit of appreciating in value over the years..
Size; 122 cm wide , 165 cm high & 45 cm deep.
Condition; The cupboard is in good used condition, Strong and sound, no sign of borers, white ants or dry rot. The patterned ceiling tin back has been added later and can easily be removed.
