This amp and all of Tims amps are of the highest quality possible; this Sonique 50 is one of the very first batch made and will be a legendary find in time to come. The amp has recently been upgraded to current specs by the amp professor himself, Tim Evans. This is the most toneful amplifier I have ever had the pleasure of owning; from chimney cleans to fullest sounding low/medium gain (NOTE: even though some of the settings say HIGH gain (see pictures), this is at best a Medium gain amp. My reason for selling is that it doesn't have enough gain. For those looking for an amazing amp which will take on and knock-out the highend imported competition this really is the end-all-be-all of guitar amps. If you know anything about Tim Evans you'll understand what I mean.

Item Specifics: Two channel shared EQ 50 watt combo guitar amplifier (see pictures for features). The solo boost is NOT a liquid gain Lynch/Eddie style lead boost; what it does is give the lead tone amazing raunchiness. It's something that needs to be heard. The combo uses one Celestion G12-H Vintage 10th Anniversary Special Edition and one Celestion G12 Vintage 30 speaker. While I'm on the subject of speakers, I've always been a Greenback player myself because all amps I've played until the Sonique 50 have been designed to be mid-rangey and the Greenbacks compensate for the lack of Low frequencies so they smooth out the frequency spread which is why I've not favoured Vintage 30's with those previous amp I've owned as they excentuate the higher frequencies giving a harsher tone. This is where the GE amp differs - Tim Evans designed the head to have an even frequency spread (High, Mid and Low) across as much of the volume spectrum as possible and you can hear the low frequencies come through the high strings, E, B and G which is how you can tell. We plugged my Sonqiue50 combo through a greenbacked cab it didn't have that punch or bite anymore, sounded a little flat. Tim Evan's amp are really designed like amps should be.
