A Fine Antique George V English Sterling Silver Bread / Fruit Basket

Description
 
This versatile bread/fruit basket has an oval boat shaped form onto an oval pierced decorated pedestal foot.
 
There are two bands of striated pierced decoration to the well of the basket, with a central band of bright cut and pierced wheel and garland decoration between.
 
The basket has a thread decorated border terminating at either end at the impressive acanthus leaf decorated, shaped scroll handles.
 
Maker: Thomas Bradbury & Son
Origin: London, England
Date: 1926
 
Condition
 
This basket is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
The bright cut engraved decoration is crisp.
Full hallmarks are struck to the surface of the basket.  All the hallmarks are very clear, apart from the maker's mark which is slightly rubbed, but legible.
 
Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this item.
