Absolutely fantastic vintage tapestry piano shawl or table cover. This incredible textile features an unusual border of a band of gypsies happily playing tambourines and dancing ! Some of the lovely ladies are carrying large wine jugs. Very heavy weight tapestry, primarily shades of brown but with the addition of a metallic gold thread which adds a glint of sparkle. The center medallion has a band of tassels, as well as clusters of roses and what I believe are Morning glories. There is also an addition of black around the border which really sets off the gypsy edge. I've never seen anything like this ! Very good condition with some minor wear to the tapestry in places which is not noticeable because of the pattern. ( no holes ) Measures approx. 48 inches square. I think you will be very pleased by this, quite Bohemian !
