Grevillea Ned Kelly is a hybrid from (G. banksii x G. bipinnatifida) a medium, spreading shrub with deeply divided, deep green leaves of medium density. The new growth is covered with fine red hairs Ned Kelly flowers for most of the year, producing attractive,red, toothbrush flowers, with orange/red styles, and is fast growing. The flowers are in terminal racemes15cm long by 9cm diameter, and are also covered with red hairs. "Ned Kelly "grows to around 2-3 metres high, and between 1.5 -2 metres wide.

Grevillea"Ned Kelly " prefers a full sun to semi-shaded situation with well-drained soils. Severe frosts (-3C and below) can burn the softer new growth, but mild frosts are tolerated. Pruning after flowering will maintain compact growth, and will encourage flowering.

Grevillea"Nwd Kelly "is ideal for hedging, shrubberies,and general garden use. Another wonderful feature is that Grevillea"Ned Kelly "flowers attract nectar feeding birds.
