This beautiful Hand Knotted Genuine Persian Gabbeh Rug handknotted by Kurdish tribal weavers in Iran. It is a recent, strong contemporary weave and is in excellent brand new condition. This beautifully woven rug is a typical example of simple tribal weaving. The dyes are naturally derived. The rug has a multi coloured field colour. A simple and attractive design. This rug has a lovely thick plush pile.

Hand knotted rugs of this type are difficult to acquire and are extremely popular in today's market. The colours vary slightly as different batches of wool have been hand dyed. Extremely strong, heavy, thick, soft and durable; perfect for a scatter rug or wall hanging.
