Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.
HD-DVD INFORMATION HD-DVD is a next-generation optical disc format, featuring a significant increase in storage capacity facilitating support for high definition (HD) video and audio. The introduction of high definition compatible technologies allows for full support of 720p, 1080p and 1080i HD video and establishes 7.1 audio mastering with the lossless DTS HD and Dolby TrueHD audio formats. High definition video and audio offer an increase in clarity as less compression is required to store the data on the high capacity next-generation formats. To take advantage of HD video you will require a HD compatible television, and similarly a HD decoder for the lossless audio formats. The good news is that the HD DVD technology is backwards compatible, meaning that your current DVD library won't be made obsolete & will play on your new HD DVD player. A HD-DVD player will be required to view HD-DVDs. HD-DVD players will feature backwards support for DVD but IS NOT compatible with its competitor Blu-ray.
