Q: Hey buddy just wondering i have a 99 wrx does this controller need a after market computer to work and are you saying i dont need to buy a fuel cut defender it has one built in?

A: yes it has fcd built in and it does not need an after market computer to work with it , it is an boost controlling computer already! it has detailed installation come with it.

Q: I note that the Type-D-RX boost controller provides proper closed loop boost control?

A: yes , it is micro processor controlled , closed loop monitored boost controller not only brings the boost up quicker but also regulate the boost.

Q: Does the Type-D-RX boost controller have a built-in boost control solenoid (engine-bay mounted or integrated in control unit?) or does it interface with the stock boost solenoid unit?

A: The Type-D-RX boost controller intergrate with the standard boost controlling function by doing so the connection from the engine bay is minimised and you only need to connect 6 wires with the ECU.

Q: If so, are there any issues with 'check engine lights' appearing on the dash as is often the case when the factory solenoid wiring is modified or disconnected?

A: no not at all , the Type-D-RX boost controller is designed for the purpose and it is fully tested in many different models , you need to disconnect the battery before connecting any wires. It is recommended to have the installation performaned by HDi trained installer, or if you have electronic background you can also check the signal from the ECU pin prior doing any modifications, locate the voltage battery +, ignition +, earth -, Map sensor out put , solenoid wire.

Although the pin out seems very much the same with the similar manufacture year and engine of a different model , we still recommend to check and confirm the signal incase they are changes from the manufacturer.
