This magnificent Super Fine Kashan Persian Rug(Inscribed) was woven in the Central Region of Iran in Kashan, one of Iran's foremost rug weaving centers. The rug is a new weave woven within the past 10 years and is in excellent brand new condition. It is a relatively fine weave, the wool is soft and lustrous and is lambswool. The rug is extremely heavy weighing about 45kg. Ideally suited for commercial use or a heavy traffic area.

The colours are well balanced. The field colour is an attractive Royal Red and the golden scrolls in the field are most attractive. The ornate dome design central medallion is stunning. The colours are typical of this type of rug; blood red, sky and navy blues and cream. This is by far one of the best oversized Kashans offered on eBay.

This piece is a fine example of its type and sure to appreciate in the years to come. Please note this is a stunning piece is inscribed and woven by one of Iran's most famous weaving houses. Carpets of this size are rare and represent over 12 months of weaving time.

The wool has been hand dyed and hand spun. The floral design is very regal. The outer border is deep blue in colour. Please examine the back of the rug to appreciate the finesse of the weave.
