HERITAGE CHANTENAY RED-CORED CARROT VEGETABLE SEED

If you find yourself yanking the greens off your long-rooted carrots when you're harvesting (with just a little swearing and cursing) – this variety is for you! The root is short and broad lending it to easy harvesting and ideal for those of us with heavy soils.

It also has an excellent sweet flavour and deep orange flesh.  What more could you ask from a great carrot?

The seeds are 'heritage' which means they are an old traditional variety, which has been grown from seed saved over many years (not genetically modified in a laboratory). The bonus is a better taste and, if you like, you can collect your own seed next year saving you money.

This seed has been grown and collected according to the principles of organic gardening (no pesticides or nasties). Plant according to your local conditions.

Each packet contains over 200 seeds and comes complete with growing instructions.   All my seeds are well-packaged and would also make an attractive gift.
