HERITAGE WALTHAM BUTTERNUT PUMPKIN VEGETABLE SEED

The Waltham Butternut is a very popular pumpkin with a delicious nutty flavour. Its yellowy orange pear-shaped fruit weigh from 1-2 kilograms each, ideal for a meal or two. Pumpkin does not last long once cut, so this smaller size reduces waste.

Harvested when fully matured in autumn, they will store well for many months if their stalk is intact and skin is free of blemishes. This variety doesn’t sprawl as far as some of the larger ones and can be grown on a trellis or fence to save space.

The seeds are 'heritage' which means they are an old traditional variety, which has been grown from seed saved over many years (not genetically modified in a laboratory). The bonus is a better taste and, if you like, you can collect your own seed next year saving you money.

This seed has been grown and collected according to the principles of organic gardening (no pesticides or nasties). Plant according to your local conditions.

Each packet contains 15 seeds and comes complete with growing instructions.   All my seeds are well-packaged and would also make an attractive gift.
