Carrots are a great vegetable to grow and it seems you can never have too many. Whilst cheap to buy, nothing beats the taste of home grown organic carrots.

Carrots store well in the ground through the colder months when they are great for winter stock and stews. This particular carrot is very versatile. The thinnings can be eaten as baby carrots or, grown to maturity, it is a long, smooth, disease resistant carrot.

The seeds are 'heritage' which means they are an old traditional variety, which has been grown from seed saved over many years (not genetically modified in a laboratory). The bonus is a better taste and, if you like, you can collect your own seed next year saving you money.
