HIDDEN HISTORIES - Rose - NW NT Aboriginal History

Deborah Bird Rose has collected black stories from Victoria River Downs, Humbert River and Wave Hill Stations in north-west Northern Territory. These are stories of massacres and murders, of working life on cattle stations, of friendships and foes, of bureaucratic machinations and struggles of individual aborigines. 268 pages with plenty of photos and maps; a story of exploitation and cruelty but also a message of hope. This is in very good condition inside, clean and unmarked; the covers are also very good with slight bumping and very minor creasing at the top right corner. The spine is very slightly faded but still very clear and there is a minor spine crease.
