You may have guessed that here at Ozsteam, we love geared locomotives like the Shay & Climax. Now we are proud to offer you another rare and unusual locomotive, the magnificent 2 truck Heisler. Like the Climax, the Heisler featured every axle driven by a centrally mounted drive shaft but the Heisler used a V-Twin steam engine slung under the boiler. Smooth and silent, it was perhaps the 'Moto Guzzi' of logging locomotives!

Take a close look at this brand new steel cab 2 truck Heisler made in Italy by Rivarossi. The locomotive is 100% new with working head & tail lamps and complete in the Big Red Box with all international warranty information. Operational now on standard 12 volt systems, the addition of a DCC chip will convert this loco to full Digital Command Control and compatable with other DCC locos on your layout.

The the factory detailing on this locomotive is quite exquisite and in our opinion, exceeds even the Bachmann Shay for engineering excellence in a production model:
