HONDA CT110 POSTIE BIKE.

Starting bid is the reserve....So now I've dropped it 50 bucks to get the auction started.....$1900 buys it now and anywhere between $1550 and that can get it. There are other posties  selling on Ebay for the same price without the extras or the sort out.  

After 20 years without a bike I bought this beaut postie. I wanted to spend a little time riding around town before buying a larger bike. Last week I bought a 650 road trail bike so I can go and do some touring.

This also means the Postie has to go.

These bikes are a fantastic alternative to less robust scooters.

....They are also easy and fun to ride.

This bike has November 2005 compliance so it was more than likely delivered to Aust Post early 2006.

It has scuffing from the mail bags found on all ex Aust Post bikes. Other than that it is in very good condition and runs perfectly.

I bought it last July with 30518Ks on the clock. Now has 31200Ks so I've done about 700Ks on it.

When I got it home I cleaned it, changed the air filter and oil. I also replaced the chain and both sprockets (Genuine Honda parts). 15 Tooth front, 45 Tooth rear gives a little better road speed.

Please note this is the uprated postie with 130Kg rating i.e H.D. wheels spokes, frame etc. (To carry a lotta Postie and mail).

The home made top box has a hinged-folded aluminium lid with a rubber seal and a latch so it can be padlocked. It is lined with carpet (including the lid) so you can chuck stuff in it without knocking it around. It also keeps the frozen groceries (or stubbies....lol) cool on the way home from the shops.

I added a couple of quirky but very functional comfort items. Those being a backrest (in another life it was a Toyota Camry headrest) and forward footpegs so you can stretch out. They also fold up. It is very comfortable. Also have the original  chrome crash bar if required.
